Ann Arbor Parent Advisory Committee for Special Education Public List
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the public list for the Ann Arbor (MI) Parent Advisory Committee for Special Education. Anyone with a student with an IEP or 504 plan attending or eligible to attend (might be in a private school or home bound) Ann Arbor, MI public schools can join. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our mission: To positively impact the education of all students with an emphasis on those with special needs in the Ann Arbor School District by representing students and parents of students needing or receiving special education services, advocating improvements, acting as a resource for our constituents, staff, and administration, creating opportunities for education, reporting regularly, facilitating communication,clarifying process, and creating an actual link between our constituents and the administrators responsible for all aspects of special education in the Ann Arbor district. We have monthly meetings on the1st Monday of the month in the Media Center of Tappan Middle School, 2251 E. Stadium Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. The Media Center is on the 2nd floor. Meetings are from 7 PM to 9 PM, with administrators from AAPS SISS (special education department) available from 6:15 PM until the regular meeting starts, for consults on individual issues or questions.
